What are Shindaiwa's basic maintenance requirements for welding equipment?
Before each start-up of the Diesel Welder or Generator, perform a general inspection of the equipment as a whole and:
- check the level and addition of fuel, engine oil, water / coolants;
- make sure that there are no leaks of fuel, oil, water;
- checking the level and adding electrolyte to the rechargeable battery;
- draining the liquid from the leakage protection sump.
Shindaiwa service in detail
The set of maintenance measures seems to be long, but their observance significantly prolongs the service life of welding equipment and generators. So after 50 hours of operation of the machine (after the first start) and every 100 hours of subsequent operation it is necessary to:
- change the oil in the engine;
- clean the fuel strainer;
- clean the filter element of the air filter;
- adjust the V-belt tension.
According to the manufacturer's recommendation (Shindaiwa), the oil filter should be changed after 50 hours of operation after the first start-up and every 200 hours after that.
Drain water and clean the fuel tank of the welding machine (e.g. DGW400) every 200 hours. The Shindaiwa welding machine should be serviced at intervals of 400 hours of operation, including:
- cleaning of the radiator grille;
- cleaning of the radiator from the inside;
- checking/adjusting the injection nozzles;
- inspection and cleaning of the leakage protection tray;
- replacement of the V-belt;
- replacement of fuel filter and air filter elements.
Service of Diesel Welders and Generators involves a number of other actions in the long term (after 1000 - 2000 h):
- adjustment of valve clearances,
- checking the injection pump,
- replacement of gaskets in the top and bottom of the fuel tank,
- replacement of fuel hoses,
- oil renewal,
- coolant change,
- and more.
Timely and quality service prevents emergency interruptions in the operation of the equipment, significantly extends the service life and improves the quality of work.
